Answer:
Batteries come in different sizes and variations, which affect how they can be used.
The chemical structure of batteries affects the charging level the battery can be charged to and discharged from, and the voltage level in battery cells as well as the number of ESOs affect the power at which the battery can be charged and discharged. To see the limitations for your specific battery, information about maximum charging and discharging power can be found in the battery datasheet, which is available here.
The easiest way to ensure that your battery is correctly configured is to use the Battery Wizard feature, where recommended settings from the battery manufacturer are available for all batteries supported by Ferroamp. You can find the Battery Wizard in the System Configuration.
See below for an example guide to the Battery Wizard.
Example:
- Click on Battery Wizard in the bottom of the left window.
- Choose your battery in the menue.
- Click save when recommended battery settings are shown in the window.
NOTE! To implement the battery settings to the Ferroamp system, you need to press Update before leaving the System Configuration page.
