How does EV-Charging work with Ferroamp?

Answer:

Ferroamp controls EV chargers using the OCPP 1.6-J communication protocol.

Communication takes place through the local network in the property. For Ferroamp to be able to control your charging station, it is required that the charging station has correctly implemented local OCPP 1.6-J and that the charging station allows an external system to control the charging of the car. The integration currently supports the control of one charging point.

Ferroamp does not control charging stations that have implemented OCPP 1.6-J in the cloud because we cannot guarantee functionality. Firstly, we cannot guarantee that the communication is fast enough, and we also cannot guarantee the availability of the charging station's cloud service.

You can see a list of charging stations that EnergyHub can control here.

The list is updated as soon as we have tested and confirmed functionality with additional charging stations.

Ferroamp also has an API integration with charging stations from CTEK where we share information about the available power in relation to the main fuse. However, this integration does not allow viewing the charging in the EnergyCloud; instead, it is only seen as consumption in the property. The integration must be activated by Ferroamp's support and by CTEK.
