Answer:
The Solar String Optimizer integrates solar panels into the EnergyHub system and is therefore placed between the solar panels and the EnergyHub. In addition, you need to consider the following:
- Ferroamp's SSO is IP65-rated and can thus be placed where it is most convenient from a space and installation perspective.
- The SSO can be advantageously placed outdoors and near the solar cells as it provides good cooling, and in the event of system shutdown, the cables between the SSO and the EnergyHub become de-energized.
- Placement in direct sunlight should always be avoided.
- Each SSO contributes a heat load of up to approximately 60 W at full solar production, so they should be placed where they can have satisfactory air circulation with the specified space between them and on a surface capable of withstanding temperatures up to 70°C.
- Wall and mounting materials must be able to support at least 10 kg.
- To ensure proper cooling through the heat sinks, the SSO should be mounted vertically with connections downwards.
