Can an EnergyHub be secured with a type C fuse?

Answer:

Yes, it is possible to secure an EnergyHub with a type C-fuse. Generally, Ferroamp recommends securing with a B-characteristic fuse. This is because it has a faster tripping time than C-fuses, which is advantageous for an inverter in general.

However, if the rest of the property's electrical system is secured with type C-fuses and it is easiest to access C-fuses, there is nothing technically preventing the EnergyHub from being secured with them. The electrician performing the installation ultimately chooses whether to use a type B or type C fuse based on what is suitable for the electrical system in the property.
