Where should the ESOs be placed in relation to a battery?

*NOTE: The information below is directed towards installers. Only trained electricians are allowed to install Ferroamp’s products.

Answer:

The ESO (Energy Storage Optimizer) is a product that can be installed in several different ways, depending on the size and type of battery. Currently, it's primarily done in the following manners:

  • ESOs are installed in the same cabinet as the battery.
  • ESOs are installed externally in a so-called ESO Power Case.

The choice depends on the specific battery from Ferroamp that you purchase. Generally, larger batteries have integrated ESOs in the cabinet, while smaller batteries have separate ESOs in a Power Case. This information is specified in the product datasheet.
